Accompanying CHINACOAT2007, a technical Conference on '"Resins & Additives: Widening Formulation Options in Waterborne Coatings"' was held two days prior to the opening of the show. A total of 14 papers were presented with 146 delegates coming from 14 countries/regions attending the conference.

During the course of the 3-days show, two Workshops on Coating and Ink Formulation were organized:

1. "Optimisation of Coating/Ink Properties through Formulation Modification"

2. "Improvement of Coating/Ink Properties through Efficient Dispersion"

These 2 half-day courses were attended by 128 industry specialists.

Technical Seminar had once again been opted by CHINACOAT visitors as one of the most popular activities for technical interflow with leading suppliers from the world. This year, a total of 46 of technical seminars were held.

Technology Corner, being held for the first time in CHINACOAT this year, has provided a direct platform for visitors and exhibitors for technology exchange. The themes this year are 'Nanotechnology' & 'Fluorine in Coatings', and a total of 5 sessions were held.

The organizer this year invited representatives from 'Russia' and 'Indonesia' to give presentations on the status-quo and development of their coatings industry.
