James M. Brown was established in 1926. Manufacture cadmium pigments in 1930s. Based in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent. Becoming the world’s largest producer of cadmium pigments with manufacturing sites in both England and Brazil in 2007.


Our pigments are available in the full range of cadmium pigment hues – yellow, orange and red – they have excellent light fastness, heat resistance and weatherability together with excellent quality as standard; it is our belief they are the safest cadmium pigments on the market. Their unique shade and resistance properties make them suitable for a wide range of plastics, coating, ceramic and enamel applications.
