| Shanghai Huayi New Material Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Huayi Holding Group Co., Ltd, established in May 2013. Its predecessor was Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Acrylic Acid Factory, which was established in 1991. It is the dominant domestic manufacturer of acrylic acid and ester series of products. The company builds an intelligent production base on the acrylic acid and ester projects in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park. The company is also actively developing new material projects such as catalysts, high water absorbing resins, and li-battery cathode materials. The company is the first intelligent factory and benchmark enterprise of intelligent manufacturing in the basic chemical industry in China. It is also the first domestic ¡°lighthouse factory¡± in the process chemical industry. The main production facilities of the company include 320,000 tons/year acrylic acid and ester units, 33,000 tons/year super absorbent polymer (SAP) units, 1,200 tons/year (methyl) acrylic acid catalyst units and 1,000tons/year cathode material units (LMFP). The main products of the company are consisted of acrylic acid, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, iso-octyl acrylate, water-absorbent resin, (methyl) acrylic acid catalyst and battery cathode materials. |
