Its predecessor, the Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Acrylic Acid Factory, was founded in 1991. The company is a leading domestic manufacturer of acrylic acid and ester-based products. It has built an intelligent production base for acrylic acid and ester projects in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park. In addition to its core business, the company is actively developing new material projects, including catalysts, super absorbent polymers (SAP), and lithium battery cathode materials. It is recognized as the first intelligent factory and a benchmark enterprise for smart manufacturing in China¡¯s basic chemical industry. It also holds the distinction of being the first domestic ¡°lighthouse factory¡± in the process chemical sector. The company¡¯s main production facilities include units with capacities of 320,000 tons per year for acrylic acid and esters, 33,000 tons per year for super absorbent polymers, and 1,200 tons per year for (methyl) acrylic acid catalysts. Its primary products include acrylic acid, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, iso-octyl acrylate, water-absorbent resin, and (methyl) acrylic acid catalysts. |
