Hanjin Chemical is a materials company headquartered in Ulsan, Korea, serving the coatings, inks, and adhesive/pressure-sensitive adhesive markets. Built around paints, binder resins, and application-specific adhesives, we provide an end-to-end capability: laboratory formulation, pilot validation, scale-up, and mass production. Since our founding in 2011, we have expanded production assets, established an in-house corporate research center, and strengthened a rigorous ISO-based quality system. Recognitions such as selection as a Ulsan Star Company in 2019, followed by our first direct exports to China in 2020, marked the acceleration of our globalization path.

Our R&D centers on environmental responsibility and high performance. We have developed proprietary technologies including a multi-chain epoxy emulsifier that improves stability and cost-efficiency in waterborne epoxy systems; waterborne epoxy formulations engineered to minimize losses in coating-film mechanical properties; and copper-free, environmentally friendly anti-fouling paints. In processing, we advance elastic polyurethane waterproofing and low-temperature acrylic synthesis in order to reduce VOC emissions, improve workability on site, and enhance long-term durability.

Guided by a platform of water-based, low-VOC, and non-toxic materials, Hanjin Chemical is expanding a portfolio of green coating systems for marine, plant, and infrastructure applications. Our product families include functional resins, primers and topcoats, industrial floor and steel-pipe varnishes, and application-specific adhesives. Every project follows a stage-gate quality approach—from raw-material selection and compounding, through pilot trials and reliability testing, to production certification—so customers receive validated performance and consistent supply.
