Profile in English:

The Quarzwerke Group is an independent international family business with more than 140 years of tradition and a significant market position in the extraction, processing, and refining of industrial minerals¡ªmainly from its own deposits. With more than 35 production sites across Europe, the company has maintained a strong presence in the region for many years.

Headquartered in the vicinity of Cologne, Germany, the company is organized into six divisions. Approximately 3,500 employees across the Quarzwerke Group contribute to the success of customers worldwide.

The company consistently combines high-quality mineral raw materials with modern and efficient processing technologies. Its high standard of service, centered on customer satisfaction, often exceeds expectations. The entire Quarzwerke Group positions itself as an efficient and reliable partner with a strong sense of social and ecological responsibility.

The division HPF The Mineral Engineers has been developing and selling innovative high-performance fillers and additives for polymer systems based on natural and synthetic minerals for years. Thanks to extensive experience and advanced equipment, HPF is well-positioned to help customers worldwide enhance their polymer systems with unique filler solutions.

HPF The Mineral Engineers offers solutions for formulating environmentally compatible industrial coatings. For example, in corrosion protection formulations, zinc phosphate has been fully or partially replaced by surface-treated fillers from the TREMIN® product series (based on wollastonite) or TREFIL® (based on phlogopite), with excellent results. By combining TREMIN® wollastonite and Chinafill kaolin, formulations can be made not only more environmentally friendly but also more cost-effective.

Rotor blades for offshore wind turbines are exposed to extreme and contrasting weather conditions. By using surface-treated high-performance fillers such as TREMIN® wollastonite and SILBOND® quartz powder, HPF The Mineral Engineers has developed a durable coating base that resists rain erosion.

High-performance fillers offer the following advantages in industrial coatings:
High surface hardness
Improved corrosion protection properties
Excellent weather resistance
Enhanced chalking stability
Cost-effective formulation

A team of highly trained specialists is employed in research and development as well as laboratory operations. In 2021, HPF Minerals Tech Ltd.¡¯s state-of-the-art production plant began operations in Dangjin, South Korea, complementing the existing HPF site in Frechen, Germany. Both production sites, staffed by experienced personnel, can quickly and flexibly adapt to new challenges and product requirements. Units of various sizes are available for processing and surface treatment of mineral raw materials down to a few hundred nanometers. These high-performance fillers, produced with proven quality, are supplied globally.

At its stand in Hall W2.B21 at CHINACOAT2025 Shanghai, HPF Minerals Ltd. will showcase a broad portfolio of fillers for innovative formulations in paints, coatings, and adhesives.
