Chongqing Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chemical Research Institute") was established in April, 1958. It is one of the first batch of scientific research institutions and intermediate experimental bases engaged in the research and development of natural gas chemical engineering technology and the research and development of new fine chemical technologies and products in China. It is a national high-tech enterprise integrating multi-specialty comprehensive chemical research and development and engineering application. The Institute of Chemical Research has successively undertaken key scientific and technological public relations projects and national "Torch" program projects since the Sixth Five-Year Plan, and made more than 150 scientific and technological achievements, of which more than 60 scientific and technological achievements have won national, provincial, ministerial and municipal scientific and technological progress awards. Now it is mainly engaged in the research and engineering application of special functional monomers, high molecular polymers, hydrocyanic acid derivatives, phosgene downstream products, new dyes and other fine chemical new materials, and is the first enterprise engaged in the research and production of special functional monomers and polymers in China. The Institute of Chemical Research has now built an R&D innovation system integrating "small trial R&D + engineering transformation + industrial incubation + technical consultation".
