FAQ on Revised Refund Policy

Thank you for your consideration to participate at CHINACOAT/SFCHINA2020 at Guangzhou, P.R. China this year. The Organizers understand exhibitors might have a series of questions, under such difficult time, when we are fighting against such unprecedented pandemic event of human history. Please take a moment to read on below some frequently asked questions regarding our revised refund policy this year. You may also get in touch with us directly if you have other questions that are not covered below.

Q1. Is CHINACOAT/SFCHINA2020 going to be held as scheduled, postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak?
Answer: Unless the current situation continues to deteriorate or maintain its current state for another few months, we see the two exhibitions will be held as scheduled.

Q2. What is our Refund Policy if in the unlikely event the exhibitions are to be postponed or cancelled?
Answer: If the exhibitions are postponed or cancelled by the Organizers due to Force Majeure Events, the following refund schedule shall apply:

60 Days or more On or Before 9th Oct 2020 85.00%
Less than 60 days but 30 days or more 10th Oct - 8th Nov 2020 80.00%
Less than 30 Days and Before Move-In Started 9th Nov – 4th Dec 2020 75.00%
Once Move-In Started 5th Dec 2020 or After 0.00% (No Refund)

 

Q3. Why are exhibitors only receiving 75 / 80 / 85% of the Contract Fees back, but not a full refund, in case of a postponement / cancellation?
Answer: 100% full refund cannot be offered in case of postponement / cancellation because preparation of an exhibition is an on-going process, which has already started as early as 15 months prior to the exhibition. The Organizers have already put in efforts and resources at various stages.

Q4. If exhibitors are planning to exhibit at CHINACOAT/SFCHINA2021 Shanghai, can they transfer the amount paid this year to next year?
Answer: The Organizer is unable to transfer any amount already paid (be it Participation Fee or Advertisement Fee) this year to the following year’s exhibitions. We will arrange refund of amount paid according to the stated schedule.

Q5. When are exhibitors going to receive refund payment in case of a postponement / cancellation?
Answer: The Organizers shall arrange the refund payment within 45 days from the Notification Date. Minor delays might be expected as we might be dealing with a high number of transactions during that time.

Q6. How are exhibitors going to receive refund payment in case of a postponement / cancellation?
Answer: Exhibitors will receive their refund by interbank remittance if payments were made from overseas or within China. If payments were made from Hong Kong, we will arrange refund payment by bank cheques.

Q7. Will the Organizers reimburse exhibitors for services they have booked with third-party service providers (e.g. Official Contractors/Travel Agencies/Hotels etc.)?
Answer: Our refund policy in case of a postponement / cancellation only covers exhibitors’ booth reservation’s participation fee. Other payments will not be included in this arrangement. Exhibitors are responsible to handle other orders with their corresponding service providers directly.

Q8. How can exhibitors receive the most updated status of CHINACOAT/SFCHINA2020 exhibitions?
Answer: Please keep checking our official websites (http://www.chinacoat.net / http://www.sfchina.net) for most updated status of the two exhibitions. You can also follow our various Social Media accounts, e.g. Mobile App, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Weibo and WeChat, to receive up-to-date information.
